The Monkey King: Chapter 551 : Black Chicken Country

Leaving Huashan and flying all the way towards Nantianmen, Qingxin was silent all the way.

Nezha followed all the way, his brows furrowed tightly, always keeping a distance of thirty feet.

One after another, just a few days, he really couldn't understand what happened under his nose these few days, why Qingxin seemed to be a different person.

Fortunately, we are finally going back to Nantianmen. After this hurdle is over, there will be nothing else to do next.

Don't let anything happen on this road.

Along the way, Nezha played up his spirits and watched the changes around him vigilantly. It was not until he saw Nantianmen from a distance that Nezha's heart calmed down a little.

Back at Nantianmen, Qingxin went straight to see Li Jing, and told Li Jing directly that she had found what she wanted. She would do what Li Jing asked her to do. Of course, she still had to follow her rules.

Before Li Jing could figure out what was going on, Qing Xin had already turned around and left. Only Nezha and Li Jing are left, you see me and I see you, I don't know why.

Leaving Nantianmen, Qingxin went straight up to the Thirty-third Heaven and returned to Tusita Palace.

The few Taoist boys who were guarding outside the Tusita Palace saw Qingxin arrive, and they all gathered around. Zipao, who was headed, cupped his hands and said, "Junior Sister Qingxin, the master is in the palace."

Qingxin stood quietly, staring down at the empty ground, his expression seemed a little dull.

Several Taoist boys looked at each other.

"Master said...if you have any questions, you can go to him."

Qingxin pursed his lips and looked up at the Taoists. Taking a deep breath, he raised his smiling face and said, "No."

She smiled brightly, but it was very different from usual, without that arrogant atmosphere, it was more like wearing a mask.

"No?"

"No." Qingxin shook her head and said, "I. I'm a little tired...I don't want to see him yet."

said, without waiting for Zipao to answer, Qingxin stepped forward to pass him by, and walked towards her small house in the Tusita Palace.

Looking back at Qing Xin's back, Zi Pao frowned slightly.

"What's wrong with her? What happened?"

   "Did you suffer?"

"Probably not. If you suffered somewhere, you must be yelling to go back and take revenge. Just like last time."

Zi Pao thought for a moment and said, "Don't talk too much."

The rest of the Daotong quickly closed their mouths one by one. No more words.

  …

The breeze caressed the branches. The sun shines through the gaps in the leaves, leaving little mottles on the shady trails.

Qingxin lowered his head slightly, held his breath, pursed his lips, and gradually accelerated his pace.

The brothers and sisters who met occasionally saw that she had passed by before they had time to say hello to her.

In the blink of an eye, she came to her hut beside the attic where Lao Jun lived. She went in silently and closed the door.

  …

is in the attic not far away. Lao Jun frowned, looked up at the roof, and didn't know what he was thinking.

Beside him, Queer sat quietly on his knees, brewing tea.

The tea cup placed in front of Lao Jun, the tea in it was cold and changed again, after so many times, Lao Jun slowly closed his eyes and sighed: "Forget it. If you don't drink tea, don't drink tea. busy."

"Not busy, as long as the master doesn't dislike Queer wasting tea leaves." After a pause, Queer continued: "If you don't make tea and have your hands idle, you will be a little panicked."

took a deep breath, Lao Jun patted her hand lightly and said, "It's hard for you."

Queer bowed her head. Do not speak.

  …

The sun shines in through the window lattice, forming a staggered light and shadow in the room.

Qingxin was like a little girl, leaning against the door and covering her face.

The memory of the third generation, all kinds of mixed emotions instantly swallowed up reason, and tears welled up in my eyes...

  …

At this time, the monkey group was passing through a fertile plain.

On the edge of the plain, they saw a stone tablet with the words "Boundary of Wuji Kingdom", but as they went deeper, they did not see the thriving scene that this fertile land should have.

Instead, they saw a **** on earth.

According to the map that Xuanzang obtained from the people along the way, they went deep into the plain step by step, and within a mile, they saw a mutilated body lying on the side of the road.

Looking at the situation, it should have been dead for many days. His face had already been gnawed by the carrion-eating crows, and his limbs had been torn apart. It can only be roughly identified as a middle-aged man.

The canopy covered his nose and walked over, examined the corpse carefully, and looked around again, saying: "He killed, a knife cut his throat. He didn't have any luggage, maybe it was a robbery."

"Robbery?" Xiaobailong looked back and said, "It's better to say that the mountains and forests are all plains here, so it's not peaceful?"

"Maybe this country is not peaceful in the first place."

The deceased was buried hastily, Xuanzang briefly recited a Buddhist scripture at the grave, and the group set off again.

Not long after, they saw a village that had been marked on Xuanzang's map.

In Xuanzang's luggage, the recipients of three letters lived in this village. According to Xuanzang's plan, the group was to stay in this village for one night. On the one hand, it is necessary to send letters, and on the other hand, it is also necessary to supplement the dry food through almsgiving.

However, as they got closer to the village, they realized that something was wrong more and more.

The fertile fields that stretched out as far as the eye could see were full of weeds. During the busy farming season, half of the villagers were not seen working in the fields.

As the village got closer and closer, there were more and more crows, and the ears were full of unpleasant "quack" sounds.

"What's the matter with the people in this place? Don't need to eat food? Are they all ascended to immortals?" Xiao Bailong looked around and muttered to himself.

Soon, they suddenly discovered that there was no one in the entire village, dozens of houses!

A breeze blows. Picked up a few leaves.

A few people walked on the village road in surprise.

The canopy quickly picked up the pace and searched from house to house.

Monkey also released his divine sense, and quickly probed the entire village, sighed helplessly: "There are no more alive, there are still twelve dead bodies. From young to old, everything is available."

"What's going on? Are you fleeing?" asked the little white dragon.

"Does it look like there is a disaster here? No floods and no droughts, what a good year."

In the words, the canopy has returned.

"How's it going? Could it be a plague?" the monkey asked.

The canopy looked around and said indifferently: "It's not a plague. Most of those corpses were not starved to death. They were killed. Only one died of illness. It was still old and weak and lacked care."

"It seems that it was a military disaster." The monkey scratched his ears and looked back at Xuanzang: "It seems that the letter you want to send can't be delivered. What do you do next?"

Xuanzang held the Buddha beads and frowned.

hesitated for a while before answering: "Let's stay here tonight, by the way... Let's bury all those who died in vain."

"Okay." The monkey shouted. He turned his head to wink at the little white dragon and the black bear spirit, and said, "Did you hear me, hurry up and help."

"Why me?" Xiao Bailong immediately shouted.

"Should I go?" the monkey asked with a blank expression.

"Don't... Great Sage, you'd better rest, I'll go when I go." With a helpless sigh, Xiao Bailong had to follow the black bear spirit and Tianpeng to start going from house to house to find the corpse.

Busy, until the sun went down, they buried all the bodies left in the village in a cemetery at the entrance of the village.

Xuanzang took out several instruments and placed them in front of the grave, and began to recite the scriptures one by one.

The thought of    continued into the night. Several others were yawning with boredom.

Although they are all cultivators. It is not like ordinary mortals who are taboo against ghosts and gods, but staying in a cemetery is uncomfortable after all.

After reciting the scriptures, the group settled down hastily in the village, and set off again before dawn the next morning.

After just half a day, they came to the second village marked on Xuanzang's map. Bad thing. This village is exactly the same as the previous one!

"Hey." The monkey stretched out his hand to pick up the wooden spoon that had been randomly discarded in the grass by the roadside, and sighed leisurely, "What's the situation?"

"Didn't you say military disasters?" asked Xiao Bailong.

"If it's a military disaster, it would be too thorough."

Helpless, everyone followed the previous method and gathered all the corpses scattered in the village for burial. This upside down, upside down to Sunset West Mountain.

As a result, everyone could only settle in this second abandoned village.

All night long, Xuanzang looked frowning.

The next day, we continued westward again and saw the third and fourth villages that were identical.

It seemed that the entire plain was shrouded in the shadow of death.

went all the way, and on the fifth day, they came to a small town marked by Xuanzang.

There are people in this town, but it is a dilapidated scene.

The streets can be seen everywhere in ragged clothes, lying dying under the shade of the trees. Many of the house's windows have had their door panels peeled off and hung on the walls, looking like they've long since been unoccupied. The market on the street seemed to have just been smashed by someone, and all kinds of wooden supplies were scattered on the floor with fallen leaves, and no one cleaned it up.

And when the residents of the town themselves saw the monkeys, they were dodging one by one, with fear in their eyes.

That look was different from the fear of monsters they had seen on the road before, but an indescribable fear with some nervousness.

What's even more strange is that the black bear spirit and the monkey, these two figures that are obviously monsters walked into the town... As usual, the whole town must have come out, surrounded them with torches and swords, Xuanzang said something. It finally calmed down. But here, there is not even a single person to intervene, all of them just avoid it.

"What is this all about?" The monkey turned his face to Xuanzang and asked, "Is there a letter to send here?"

Xuanzang took out a crumpled letter from his arms and said, "The farthest letter is here, only one."

The monkey took the letter, glanced at it briefly, and walked quickly towards a dull-looking young man standing on the corner of the street, shouting from a distance: "Hey, you! It's you, don't look around! Ask... "

Before he finished speaking, the young man ran away.

Monkey has a quick eye and a quick hand, stretches out his hand and sucks, and uses his spiritual power to forcibly pull him from a distance of five feet to his side.

Before the monkey could speak, he heard a bang, and the windows on the second floor of the buildings on both sides of the street were closed one after another. The refugees who were sitting on the ground all around also fled one by one, and the only one left did not know whether he was too old to walk, or he was so frightened that he was slowly crawling not far from the monkey. Letting out bursts of powerless wailing: "You monster..."

"Mummy, I'm a monster... Why didn't you run away just now?" The monkey lowered his head and found that the young man he was grabbing was already sitting on the ground, and when he let go, he fell down with a bang.

"Passed out?" The monkey was speechless for a while.

Tianpeng hurriedly walked over to the man and squatted down, took a breath, checked his pulse, and said, "I'm dizzy from hunger. It has nothing to do with you."

Monkey shook his head and said, "I said why you can't help but be scared."

Xiao Bailong stretched his head and said: "It seems that asking the way is impossible, what should I do now?"

"It doesn't matter if you ask or not, the address is written on it. How big is the town in total?"

"Then what should he do?" Xiao Bailong pointed at the man lying on the ground and asked.

Monkey looked back at Xuanzang, rolled his eyes and said, "Let's walk on our backs together. Since we're starving, there's still some dry food in the bag, let him eat it."

"okay!"

This town is really not big. There are only two main streets, one running north-south and the other east-west, which just converge to form a cross. There are road signs on the road, and there are arches at the entrance of the alley. It is really easy to find a place. After a while, the group found the address written on the envelope.

Unfortunately, what they saw was a half-closed door, and the other side had simply disappeared.

Xuanzang stood at the gate and knocked on the door for a long time, but there was no response. When he entered the courtyard and saw what looked like ruins, Xuanzang completely believed that the house had been abandoned.

Holding the letter, Xuanzang didn't know what to do for a while.

   "What's next?"

"Still... stay here. It's getting late, stay here first, and make plans tomorrow." Xuanzang looked around, hoping to find some more clues, but he couldn't find anything.

"Otherwise, I'll catch a few and ask what happened?"

Xuanzang glanced at the young man with the black bear spirit on his back, and said, "No, don't disturb others. Just ask him when he wakes up."

Look at this situation, when the owner and his family left, he should be so nervous that he didn’t bring many daily necessities. Little White Dragon even found some pieces of silver in the dark compartment at the bottom of the drawer. The only thing missing in the whole house is probably food.

I settled down hastily, Xuanzang took out the little dry food he had, soaked it in water, boiled it into a paste, and fed it bit by bit to the young men who were on the way.

In a daze, the man swallowed. However, it was not until late at night that he slowly opened his eyes. (To be continued~^~)
