Iron Powder and Spellcasters: Chapter 16 Emergencies below
Chapter 16 Emergencies (Part 2)
The man was wearing summer clothes, but he was thin and his body was far from Bard.
Winters recognized at a glance that it was not Bud. Moreover, the visitor did not bring weapons such as halberds, indicating that he was not an officer on the night watch either.
Really caught a sleeper! Winters was dumbfounded.
It's really a coincidence that the patrolman didn't catch anyone, but he was lazy and caught one.
The person who was intercepted by Winters was also stunned. This person clearly saw that the officers and students on patrol had left, so he chose to run out from here.
Who would have thought that he would suddenly sit up half-body on the dark stone table by the roadside, thinking that he had encountered a ghost.
"Stop! You! What grade?" Winters was on fire, and his tone involuntarily became stern.
Never thought that the other party would not talk to each other at all. The man slapped his waist and ran, crossing Winters' side and heading straight for the residential area.
Winters didn't react for a while, he was stunned for a few seconds before realizing that the other party had actually run away.
Damn! He was caught by the squad leader for escaping the bed. He didn't admit his mistake and begged for mercy, yet he dared to run away?
This made Winters' lungs explode, and he chased after him: "Stop! Dare to run? What are you running for?"
Winters is taller and more agile and powerful than the guy who escaped the bed. In this race, although the opponent won some opportunities by running first, it was not as good as Winters after all.
Before running 30 meters, Winters had caught up with him.
"Can you run the friars and the monastery?" Winters snapped, grabbed the man's shoulders from behind, and pulled the man down with a sudden force.
It wasn't until he grabbed the man's shoulders that Winters realized something was wrong: the man was wearing a hood and covering his face, his shoulders were slender and soft, and he didn't look like a man with a light weight. is a woman! There are no female cadets in the military school! is a thief!
The female thief was dragged out of balance by Winters, and fell heavily to the ground, groaning in pain.
Although the other party was a thief, it was a woman after all. Winters was a little embarrassed for not being able to hold back his strength.
But the female thief got up in the blink of an eye, she pulled out the dagger without saying a word, and gave Winters no time to react, swooping towards Winters like a lynx.
The dagger that shone with cold light went straight into Winters' chest.
Rao was Winters absolutely dominant in height, weight, and strength, or was he caught off guard by this murderous woman.
It was the instinct cultivated by practicing swordsmanship for many years that saved Winters. He subconsciously waved his right arm and missed the way the dagger came.
Winters took a deep stab wound on the outside of his right arm, in exchange for the dagger failing to penetrate his chest.
But then, the female thief's shoulder slammed into Winters' heart.
Winters was hit and staggered under his feet, lost his center of gravity and fell to the ground.
The female thief refused to let go, and rode on Winters, pressing down the dagger with her body weight, and thrusting it into Winters' neck.
Two moves in a row, every move is fatal.
Winters, ignoring the intense pain in his right arm, subconsciously crossed his arms over the other's arm.
This is the pre-action of grappling, as long as the force is properly applied, the dagger can be twisted.
However, caught off guard, Winters had forgotten all his skills and just used brute force to push the opponent out.
At the moment when the two fell into a stalemate, Wintersford came to mind.
Ike's voice sounded in his head - "Why not burn your hair?"
Before he even had time to use the gesture, Winters went directly into the casting state.
He resisted the intense squeezing and stinging sensation, and activated the ignition technique with all his strength, pouring magic power into the hair exposed under the opponent's hood.
First there was smoke, then a little fire, and finally the woman's hair burst into flames.
The flame ignited the hood again, and the opponent's top burned like a torch.
At the beginning, women didn't feel it yet.
She smelled the scorching stench first, and then there was the intense stinging pain of the flames burning her skin.
The woman who took Winters' life in cold blood one second, jumped up from Winters screaming, took off her hood, and beat her hair desperately.
The danger to life was temporarily lifted, but Winters couldn't care less about pursuing the female thief.
He quickly took out the whistle issued to the night patrol from his satchel and blew it violently.
The duty of the sentinel is not to eliminate the intruders, but to warn the companions in time.
The sharp whistle pierced the silent night, and Winters used this to inform Bard and the other students on the night guard of the situation, and hoped that they would come to support him as soon as possible.
Although the opponent was a woman whose strength and weight were far inferior to Winters, this ruthless style of attacking her life made him terrified.
The woman heard the whistle, and regardless of the fact that the flames on her head were still burning, she turned and rushed towards the alley in the residential area.
Winters followed closely, but he didn't think that the other party would wave his hand and threw a dagger at him.
The dagger will be wiped from Winters' side, just a finger's width away, and his body is about to be cut open again.
Winters was in hot pursuit. Suddenly, a sharp pain came from the soles of his feet, as if a sharp object pierced his boots and pierced the soles of his feet.
He couldn't run anymore, panting and groping for the soles of his boots, he finally pulled out a metal object and took a look at it before he understood what was going on.
It turned out that the female thief didn't know when the caltrops were scattered all the way. The night was dark, and he couldn't see anything on the ground at all, so he stepped on it.
After suffering several losses in a row, Winters was almost mad.
Looking up again, the woman with flaming hair has disappeared into the alley where she can't see her fingers.
These small alleys in the residential area have no planning at all, they are just gaps left when building houses. Seven bends and eight turns, extending in all directions.
Once the female thief entered the alley, Winters had no hope of catching up with her. Winters was also worried that he would be ambushed by the female thief at a corner, so he did not rush into the alley.
The caltrop is a very immoral weapon, especially if it is scattered at the exit of the alley where people come and go, the nearby residents will be very painful tomorrow...
Winters stood for a while, then walked back aggrieved.
After a short and fierce life-and-death struggle, he was afraid for a while.
No one is near death without fear, just a little bit of luck or a little slow reaction just now, he is probably dead now.
He couldn't have imagined it anyway - Ye Gang could still kill people?
His right hand was wet. Looking through the moonlight, Winters found that his hand was covered with a dark, viscous liquid, blood.
A deep wound was cut on his right arm, and the sleeve of Xia Changfu was soaked with blood.
The effect of the adrenaline faded, and the fatigue and pain doubled down on Winters.
He had nothing on his hand to deal with the wound, so he had to clench his left fist under the armpit of his right arm, hoping to stop the bleeding a little.
was walking when he noticed a reflection of metal on the ground - the dagger.
Booty?
Winters picked up the dagger, and there was a small square package the size of a palm on the side of the dagger, and he picked it up as well.
The fabric on the outside of the package feels very good, it seems to be silk. That means it wasn't someone else's trash, but something that fell out when the woman put out the fire with her hair.
Winters shoved two things into his satchel and continued to walk towards the stone table.
The sound of heavy running gradually approached, and Bud ran over.
Bud was startled to see Winters sweating profusely, his left hand tucked under his right armpit, and his right arm completely soaked in blood.
"I heard the whistle... what is this?"
"There's a girl..." Winters felt a little dizzy because of the blood loss: "Looks like a thief, came out of the school with a dagger. I set her hair on fire, and she ran away. ."
"What? Female thief? Where did the female thief come from?" The amount of information made Bud a little at a loss, and he quickly distinguished the priority: "Don't worry about the thief! Stop the bleeding! Go back to the duty room first! Where did the thief run to? ?"
Winters had both hands occupied, so he had to point with his head.
"Are you sure...you're lighting the female thief's hair?" Bud asked suddenly, looking in the direction the female thief was fleeing.
"Unless the hair on her head isn't called hair!" Winters didn't understand why Bud was asking this nonsense.
But then he was stunned.
The sky has been dyed red by flames.
