Bizarre Detective Agency: Chapter 725 16. Sky

   Chapter 725 Sixteen. Sky

The wind blew through the silent dark field.

"Clouds blocked the sky." Beside the entrance of the mine, Katarina looked up, withdrew her gaze.

Lu Li walked out of the mine and raised his eyes. Clouds shrouded the sky, and a dim light shone on the dark earth.

   "The weird fog is gone?"

"No, Tango Town protected the surroundings." Katarina pointed in the opposite direction of the town. "The strange fog is blocked from entering, so let's go this way."

Katarina led the way and left the above-ground facility in the mine.

  【Clariant Mine】

The fuzzy wooden sign stands slantingly at the entrance of the mine, and the writing gradually fades away as you move away from it.

Katarina put away her fluorescence after leaving the mine. Even people with polluted brains know how dangerous it is to carry a light source in the wilderness.

Although only the outlines can be faintly seen in the dim light, it is enough to avoid being engulfed by the dark night.

Leaving the Clariant Mine for about 2 miles, and observing the surroundings, Katarina, who was walking cautiously, began to relax.

For example, she picks up her pace and doesn't mind the clear sound of stepping on a gravel beach.

"The closer you are to the town, the safer it will be, and there will be no weirdness around us." Katerina said to Lu Li who was behind her.

"Won't there be a weird approach?" Lu Li still walked slowly.

"No, I've never heard of it." Katerina was very sure of this. "The church in Tangge Town is in its young and middle-aged years. The surrounding 10 miles is a safe area, and there are also churches, hunters, and people who sold themselves to clean up."

"I'm a hunter, but the most insignificant kind."

Without Lu Li, Katerina's future is not far away: she is terminally ill from pollution, signs a contract with the town, spends all the money she bought from selling herself, and then goes to the wilderness to seek death.

"Young and middle-aged? The evil gods will also grow?"

"Don't call him 'He', the church knows that you will be dragged to sacrifice." Katerina warned Lu Li. "They don't age, but we generally use that word to describe towns with different styles."

"The town of young adults is steadfast and vibrant, like an exorcist rejecting any weirdness. Unless the gods are dead, the surroundings of the town are perfectly safe."

"The word infancy usually belongs to a newly established town. It's the same word we use to describe it. New, weak, and difficult to protect around the town. It may even be so weak that the town will be invaded by strange things."

"Middle-aged mostly belong to cities. Just like middle-aged people will compromise some nasty things, middle-aged towns are not as firm as young and middle-aged towns, and they will allow weirdos to enter the safe zone or even into towns, as long as they don't maliciously harm humans."

   "Old town is the worst..."

Katerina's tone became low: "I have experienced the death of an old town, it can't stop the weirdness, it's like a screen. Those weird spree rushed into the town, killed everyone they could find, and put the gods Tear and tear apart..."

"It's not the worst. In some old towns, the gods have received too many mixed beliefs and strange powers. It is no longer pure and becomes like those infected aliens... It will start attacking humans. It ended up going from our gathering place to the weird gathering place."

And there are many small towns that have been converted into "weird dens", according to Katarina.

It is easier to fall than to remain pure.

Katarina continued to speak, while Lu Li listened quietly.

Tanggo Town was formerly founded by the survivors of the "weird lair". They found a church in Midnight City that did not yet have a meeting point, and just as their gods were about to be born, they cooperated to establish Tango Town on the edge of the dark field.

So strictly speaking, Katarina has experienced old towns and weird dens, and finally survived by relying on Tangge Town.

After   , the atmosphere became as silent as the wilderness.

Katerina didn't want to end the conversation like this, she couldn't help asking: "Are you still angry?"

"Why are you angry?" replied Lu Li, who was following behind.

"I despised you for having too many problems in the shelter..." Katerina still remembered this. "Well... I thought that your questions didn't really bother you, but you do have a lot of questions."

Katarina doesn't want to have a deadlock relationship with Lu Li - no matter if Lu Li is an exorcist from the previous era or a pure human being, her status after returning to human society is not comparable to a poor **** like her who is not even a resident.

In other words, she was trying to please Lu Li, but she was blunt and awkward.

"I'm just thinking." Lu Li replied calmly and asked, "There is more than one church in a town?"

Relaxed Katerina quickly replied: "Yes. The Newborn Church will stay in the town, and will not leave the town until the gods are hatched, looking for a place to establish a gathering point."

"What if it hatched in the city?"

"Let's see how their relationship is." The hunter who had never been out of the dark field, but was well-informed, replied. "Some towns were built with sister gods, but there seem to be very few... There is only one twin town on the dark field with two gods."

Lu Li and Katarina were getting closer and closer to Tangge Town, and they could already see the light in the town five or six miles away.

This light is so different from the dangerous silence of the dark fields, it is more desirable.

As Katarina said, everyone wants to be a resident and not have to set foot in the dangerous wilderness.

"What was the world like before?" Katerina asked with yearning and curiosity in her eyes.

Lu Li briefly narrated everything before the invasion began.

A city with millions of inhabitants, a bustling port, an exorcist who travels around to solve the incident, and a peaceful life.

"Millions...? There are only a few thousand people in Tango Town..." Katerina couldn't even imagine how many people there were, she only knew a lot. "I know the port, I heard that the Wiener Freezing Port is as prosperous as it used to be in Weird Times."

   Lu Li was noncommittal.

Vena’s ice-free port is unlikely to be as prosperous as it once was, but it’s comforting to see a familiar city still standing on the ground in weird times.

At least this world has something familiar to Lu Li.

As we approached Tango Town, moving dim lights began to appear around the wilderness. Those were humans who came in and out of the town, some with fluorite, some with oil lamps and torches.

Katarina didn't make contact with them, and the reason was simple.

The enemies of humans are not just weird, but themselves.

When the silhouettes of people walking in the town could be vaguely seen, the clouds covering the sky slowly dissipated.

Katarina stopped and stood with Lu Li in the wilderness, looking up at the sky.

The rock wall that stretches to the horizon replaces the sky, and the fluorite embedded in it is like a star, emitting a dim light. The rocks closed in the center of the dome, leaving a ring of moon-like holes.

Magma flows on the edge of the hole, forming a dark red fire ring, viscous and falling into the wilderness.

This is a wider underground cave.
